| Andrew Cohen: 'Evolutionary Enlightenment 101'
| posted on Saturday, June 20, 2009
In this new enlightenment, the reason we are driven to become one with the life-process is not merely to experience some form of mystical oneness with everything -- a nondual integration with the entire display of manifestation. We strive to become one with it for the biggest reason there could be -- so we can ultimately take responsibility for where it’s going. And the reason this aspiration is so significant is that, if we succeed, the very process we endeavor to take responsibility for literally begins to awaken to itself through us. What could be more important than that?

| Must Read/Watch: Ray Kurzweil On The Singularity
| posted on Tuesday, April 14, 2009
In the year 2050, if Ray Kurzweil is right, nanoscopic robots will be zooming throughout our capillaries, transforming us into nonbiological humans. We will be able to absorb and retain the entirety of the universe’s knowledge, eat as much as we want without gaining weight, shape-shift into just about any physical form imaginable, live free from disease, and die at the time of our choosing. All of this will be thrust on us by something that Kurzweil calls the Singularity, a theorized point in time in the not-so-distant future when machines become vastly superior to humans in every way, aka the emergence of true artificial intelligence. Computers will be able to improve their own source codes and hardware in ways we puny humans could never conceive. This will result in a paradigm shift that sees mankind coalescing with its own creations: man and machine, merging into one.

| Update On Andrew Cohen's Ex-Followers
| posted on Friday, April 11, 2008
In 2006 I sent out a couple of long posts that itemized a series of
disturbing events that ex-followers of Andrew Cohen had posted online,
as well as Cohen's response to these accusations. This is a followup to
those posts. Published a year ago, it is the final statement of the man
who created the blog that ex-followers used to compare notes, share
stories, and try to make sense of their experiences.

| The Emergence of 'The Higher We'
| posted on Thursday, April 03, 2008
There are two discussions I wanted to be sure all of you had a chance
to listen to. Both conversations revolve around an emerging topic
called "The Higher We". Coined by Andrew Cohen, the term "The Higher
We" refers to what Cohen believes (and I agree) is the next stage of
our individual and collective development. It is "an experience of
shared consciousness that emerges when people come together beyond ego
and narcissism, and points to a radically new way to live and relate to
one another".

| Robert Thurman On TedTalks
| posted on Thursday, June 14, 2007
In our hyperlinked world, we can know anything, anytime. And this mass
enlightenment, says Buddhist scholar Bob Thurman
<http://bobthurman.com/>, is our first step toward becoming
Buddha. When we can know everything, we can see how everything is
interconnected -- and we can begin to feel compassion for every living
being.

| Ken Wilber's New Novel: 'The Many Faces of Terrorism'
| posted on Sunday, December 10, 2006
I've been waiting for all three "draft" chapters of Ken Wilber's new
"nonfiction" novel "The Many Faces Of Terrorism" to be posted online
before sending out this post. But with Wilber in the hospital, it looks
like the release of all three chapters has been delayed. So we'll run
with the two that are available.

| Integral Naked On YouTube
| posted on Sunday, November 26, 2006
Integral Naked is the world's
first multimedia portal into Integral Consciousness, featuring hundreds
of hours of audio and video conversations with today's greatest
thinkers, leaders, artists, and visionaries. Often moderated by Ken
Wilber, these discussions span a wide range of topics -- including
spirituality, sexuality, psychology, ecology, art, business, and
politics. Through the rich diversity of subject matter runs a single
thread, a fierce determination to connect the dots of fragmentation and
begin to make sense of a world gone more than slightly mad.
