| Mobile Phones 'More Dangerous Than Smoking'

Mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a
study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people
should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the
mobile phone industry must take "immediate steps" to reduce exposure to
their radiation.

While there is no specific evidence that mobile telephones pose a
health threat to young users, researchers worry that there is still
only scant scientific information about the long-term impact of the
radio-frequency electromagnetic fields emitted by mobile telephones on
the developing brains and tissues of children.
