Madcap moggy Casper enjoys his daily ride -- aboard the No 3 BUS.

Each morning the pet leaves home and awaits the 10.55 service. He stands patiently in the queue before hopping on board and taking his favourite back seat spot.

He then travels 11 miles around Plymouth before returning home.

Casper has made the journey every day for the past four years. He is such a regular that drivers are told to look out for him and ensure he gets off at the right stop.

Susan Finden, who got Casper from a rescue centre in 2002, thinks he started catching the bus after watching her use it.

The gran, 65, said: "He'd disappear for hours and I never understood why until a driver told me.

"He sits patiently in the queue good as gold -- it'll be 'person, person, person, cat, person, person'.

"The drivers all check he's on the bus and that he gets back safely."

A First Bus spokesman said: "We wouldn't sell a cat a Rover ticket.

"But in cat years he's an OAP so he'd get a free bus pass anyway."
