| Gulp, NHNE Is Down To 55 Monthly Subscribers! |

Hello Everyone!
After receiving a rash of PayPal unsubscription notices this past week, I checked to see how many monthly supporters NHNE has and, gulp, we are down to 55 (from a high of 77)!
Where did the missing 22 supporters go?
The plummeting economy teamed up with a PayPal robo-purging-bot and threw them overboard.
Before our sails go limp, our engines run out of gas, and/or there are no more rowers left on the boat to keep us going, you can turn the tide by going here.
And becoming a monthly subscriber.
In the past, I tempted you to support NHNE by offering those who contributed an NHNE bumper sticker. But as cool as our bumper stickers were, most of those who made donations, really weren't that interested in bumper stickers. They just wanted to help. So I won't bother offering you bumper stickers, handbags, coffee cups, mailing labels, or any other gifts. This time, all you'll receive is a simple thank you and the promise that your donations go directly to paying bills and keeping discerning inboxes full of the kind of soul-stirring, mind-tweaking, brain-cell-building news NHNE is known for.
If you can lend a hand, please do. While NHNE is still blessed with 55 hard core subscribers, replacing the 22 subscribers that got washed overboard would be enormously helpful. New monthly subscriptions (of all sizes) will be such a relief to your editor that you can imagine me releasing a year or two of bill-related stress every time a new donation shows up. And that, in turn, will insure that NHNE can continue to do its part to offer the world an alternative to the boring, uninformed, zombie-producing news that has helped push our species (and much of the rest of the world) to the brink of extinction.
