WORKSHOP: INTEGRAL ECOLOGY & SUSTAINABILITY
Integral Institute Press Release
January 23, 2006
http://ecenter.colorado.edu/events/index.html
The free Friday evening presentation -- “The Deep Need for an Integral Ecology and Sustainability” -- will provide an entertaining and inspiring overview of the research findings of both presenters about Integral Ecology and Sustainability. Drawing upon successful applications of Ken Wilber’s Integral Framework -- by United Nations’ leaders, sustainability consultants, and environmental activists -- it will clarify why many approaches to ecology and sustainability fall short of their potential and offer a powerful vision for both of these fields.
The weekend workshop ($299 general public/$149 students and full-time activists) offers an introductory training in the application of the Integral Framework to catalyze environmental and social change initiatives. Participants will begin to learn how to clarify the extreme complexity of ecological and sustainable development challenges, and how to craft exceptional, sustainable responses.
This framework took 30 years of transdisciplinary research to develop. It is used worldwide in some of the highest levels of business, government, and civil society -- including within the United Nations Development Programme -- to profoundly advance the practice of sustainable development and ecology.
Registration is not required for the Friday evening presentation, but is required for the weekend workshop. Please join us for this rare live training in Integral Sustainability and Ecology.
