CHET DAY <http://chetday.com/> WRITES:
I’d add a daily tablespoon of Carlson’s Cod Fish Oil to the list above, especially good for memory and melancholy. The rest of the suggestions in the list are quite good.
I do have an excellent article that touches on memory and other problems related to vitamin B deficiency at:

JOSEPH DILLARD WRITES:
[About OPC-3, the super-charged antioxidant product Joseph has been using and selling]: This is indeed a superior product. I continue to experience benefits in energy, protection from viruses, allergies, and various nasty bugs, but so far no success to report at repelling bill collectors.
Instead of simply eating less, I would say go on a calorie restriction program such as:
http://www.calorierestriction.org/
Regarding eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, I would say that this is a great goal but pretty impossible for many busy people. But what they can do is take something like Complete Greens that contains phytonutrients equivalent to a number of helpings of vegetables. Regarding the fruits, an excellent ORAC isotonic should do the trick.
Regarding taking multi-vitamins and supplements, you can spend all kinds of money on these AND eat the best of organic foods and not get much benefit from them if your digestive system does not process them. In such a case you will either develop deficiency disorders like depression and ADD/ADHD, or immune/autoimmune disorders like arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, or fibromyalgia. I am not suggesting that a mal-absorption syndrome is the sole cause of such conditions; I am suggesting that it is often a significant contributing cause which can be easily addressed. It’s the first thing that I do with clients these days.
Also, whenever possible, nutricuticals should be taken in an isotonic formulation. Why? Absorbability: 20%-40% of the nutritional value of pills and capsules are absorbed due to the mechanical and chemical digestive processes of the stomach; 95% of nutrients are absorbed when taken isotonically.
I would also add the cultivation of thankfulness. When you are thankful you are not likely to be worried, angry, sad, scared, guilty, or confused. It’s the best drug!
